INGESTRE WOODS DELAYED OPENING TILL SUMMER 2025
Sadly the TRA committee have to inform you due to a technical difficulty the Ingestre Woods has to be delayed in opening to the general public. This was an oversight by the core members of the committee John, Kevin and Helen when setting up the project and not picked up until end of May by Camden.
Thankfully we have resolved two of the three issues. The outgoing committee will submit a email early July and once the disabled seat is installed into it's correct position we hope to be open soon. Check our website, noticeboards and newsletters for current updates.
During early June our disabled seating area will be build. We are now awaiting an installation date. Persons confined to a wheelchair or that have difficulty in walking and users with pushchairs can opt to sit in this area and still enjoy the experience of being in the woods at the entry point of Fletcher Court and Tideswell.
We hope to be open soon during this summer season.

Pete, John, Kevin and Helen have headed this project to bring the woods back to live since the first projected started in 2013. Our estate and the wider community can enjoy the peace and quiet away from everyday city life.
Walk-ways are being upgraded, a new mini-pond, refurbishment of the original pond, new fencing, new seats, new bins and general grounds maintenance are on-going.

Pete and Karen of TCV led the volunteer group from Pan MacMillan the book publishers for a day of volunteering in Ingestre Woods in September 2024.
The objective was to build more fencing and a great day was achived in the rain. Thank you for helping the Ingestre Woods project and we all enjoyed having you around.

Ten Apple Trees, kindly donated by Thatchers the Cider makers, were planted on the sunniest part of the woods
