Rubbish and Recycling

Our communal bins are collected every Tuesday and Friday

Food waste bins can be found opposite Grangemill and under Hambrook

Bulk items must be left in designated spaces and reported to the caretakers, talk to them before you put anything out..

- The caretakers will let you know the best place, day and help if needed.

If you need help with taking out your regular rubbish please make arrangements with the caretakers

The old people's home is a a house of multiple occupancy, pays council tax and use communal estate bins

Bins are cleaned twice a year - the TRA are ensuring this happens

Check out below what goes in food waste, green general waste bins and black recycling bins:

The TRA are working to...

- Increase the number of bins and capacity

- Improve bulk waste procedure and collection points

- Fly tipping prevention

-Reporting fly tipping; over 100 incidents have been logged in 2025, commercial fly tipping has been caught and reported

-Getting the parking bays repainted so bin lorry’s can get round junctions and no collections are missed

-Reduce use of bins from non estate residents

-Temporary signage is in place by the bin areas, the TRA are working with Camden housing to get signage in place by the bins

Things every resident can do:

Take pride in our estate

-Flat packing boxes, recycling and using correct bins
-Report fly tipping using Love Clean Streets app (takes 1 min)
-Keep bin lids closed, helps prevent animals making a mess
-Don’t add to already full bins
-Documenting and reporting when bins are over capacity

You can support by reporting things to the TRA email, WhatsApp, and councillors who at at the community centre every 3rd Saturday of the month. The more voices the better.

The goal is to raise the issue to increase capacity, get bin areas installed, and fly tipping deterrents
